Employment Opportunity – Youth Eco-Internship Program
The YMCA and the YWCA are recruiting to fill paid internship positions with various non-profit organizations with an environmental focus. The internship program managers at YEIP are working to increase the pool of eligible candidates and will then match intern applicants with employers.
If there’s a suitable applicant, the ACAA will have a 9-month full time internship position starting in spring 2010. The intern will aide the ACAA executive director and should have skills with communication and basic computer software, and an interest in air quality. Applicants should have university or college courses in any of chemistry, statistics, business or physics and experience working independently.
Interested applicants can contact us for more information about the proposed position, and should apply directly through the YEIP website. Applicants should clearly indicate their interest in working with the ACAA in the application. The online application will ask for some specific information and let you upload a resume.

Funding Formula under review - November, 2009
The ACAA has initiated the review of the organizational funding formula. The ACAA remains committed to a fee schedule founded on the emitter-pay principle: a funding formula that is equitable and fair to all members. The revised formula will fund all current core business activities, and replaces the interim membership fee schedule implemented at our inception.
All ACAA members will be invited to review and comment on the proposed funding formula in October. For more information on the work of the Funding Formula Sub-Committee, please contact us.
